Can I have a web and email address before my content is ready?
You may need a web site address and email address to go on advertising, yellow pages, vehicles or stationery before you can sort your site content. Don't worry.
Once your initial payment has been received we can register your domain name and put up a simple "holding page". This will inform visitors that your site is under development and give your basic contact details.
Then you can take time to get your content right and gather the assets that will make up your website.
How long will it be before my website
is ready?
We would normally expect to have your site up and running within 10-15 working days of you supplying all the content. This may vary for a more complex site. This timescale includes all design, build and beta testing.
Oh no! I have a tighter deadline.
If the ad or exhibition stand carrying your website address appears next week and you haven't got round to the site you will need to act fast. Then you can opt for our express package. It costs £80 more because we have to keep the team in after hours and they demand pizza. But you'll make your deadline.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept payments by cheque. If you use ‘Internet Banking’ or BACS, we can provide account details for you to make a bank transfer payment.
What about hosting?
We can arrange hosting to suit your planned website and additional e-mails within the cost of your package.
Do I have to have my site hosted by you?
No. If you do have an existing arrangement, we can normally work that unless your plans require a higher level of hosting. Our hosting prices are competitive; but if you wish to find your own hosting you will need to ensure it is adequate for the planned site.
How much content can I have per page?
A web page could contain a single word or a whole novel. As a general guide we would suggest no more than 250 words and 2–5 photos per page. When we review your planned content we may recommend a large page be split into 2 or 3 pages, or several small pages be combined.
How do I make changes to my website?
You will have ample opportunity to see and approve your site before it is published and we will make any small amendments required before it goes live. If you wish we can add a content management system to allow you to edit content. Alternatively, you can retain us to update your site for you as an when you have changes to make.
